9/28/2023 0 Comments Flamingo pool las vegas reviews![]() Staff weren't overly friendly or personable but they weren’t cold either and they were very efficient. Food in the restaurants was pretty decent. Hotel is centrally located on the strip. The water slide pools were a huge with the kids and well done. The remaining pool areas were quite busy with lots of activity. Never really did find out what that implied. It's billed as a Euro pool experience and for adults only. The centrally placed GO pool cost $20 to use. In certain areas the deck area was extremely slippery when wet. Pool area was quite popular and the garden area was quite impressive in size. Pros - We used a popular travel search engine to book a Mon - Fri on stay and the rm rate was very low. It's a blue collar type of place - just a large “motel” that's located on the strip. That's not to say it's a dump or shabby but you won't be wowed by the decor or atmosphere. Located in the middle of the strip across from Caesar's place the Flamingo is on the lower glitz end of strip hotels. Stayed there Sept 01 - 05 hosting 7 relatives from Europe who wanted to see Las Vegas. If you want tips and news thencheck out 'the tourist podcast' Sazzy and Mark who live in Vegas do a great podcast and Mark does tours of the strip and the surrounding area We loved every minute of it (now just need to save up for another 20 years to go again). Finally don't miss Freemont Street for a totally different experience to the strip - the spray paint artists are amazing as is the light show and the drinks extremely cheap so make a night of it. Don't miss out on going up the Eiffel Tower great view of the main strip - and Yes expensive but dinner at the Stratosphere at sunset is amazing. If you are feeling tired part way into your stay - Go to Caesars Palace SPA (can stay all day for $50 - i think you have to be a hotel guest on the weekend) - But a great way to recharge your batteries. Very minor quibble yes hall carpets are dirty but the room was spotless - Lifts efficient - never queued and got to the 16th floor in only a few seconds. Yes there are more top quality hotels on the strip - but the room was modern clean - Ask for a room near the lifts - we could get from our room onto the strip in less than 2 minutes - try doing that if you are staying at MGM- And you can walk to Mandalay Bay or in the other direction Wynn in less than 1/2 hour. I have waited 20 years to get to Vegas and was not disappointed - We booked a Go room at the Flamingo with a strip view -Ceiling to floor windows fantastic view of Caesars and Bellagio fountains (so much so we never closed the curtains !!).
